DCI Technology Holdings Portfolio
DCI Technology Holdings, LLC was born out of the dot-com technology boom of the late 1990's and has built a successful portfolio of technology real estate assets. In our role as managers, operators and marketers of technology real estate we have dealt with many of the nation's leading companies. We believe that leveraging our industry experience and capitalizing on our strategic relationships are the best ways to achieve positive results.


Senior Management

Dan Schryer, Managing Partner

Dan's career includes a unique combination of senior management in telecom services companies and special expertise in finance and marketing of real estate related technology and telecom assets. Before founding DCI Technology Holdings, Dan was a principal and founder of Venture Asset Group, a technology M&A and asset marketing firm focused on the sale of surplus technology related assets. The company was involved in transactions concerning restructuring and sale of underperforming debt, private equity portfolio disposition, and the sale of data centers to strategic buyers such as Dell and Freddie Mac.

Previously, Dan was a cofounder and SVP of Business Development at Urban Media Communications, a $130 million venture capital-backed national broadband service provider focused on metro and suburban office customers and landlords. He negotiated the company's initial real estate partnerships and complex telecommunications access rights agreements. Dan also headed Urban Media's media unit, leading a team that developed one of the first communications-enabled business portals.

Prior to Urban Media, Dan spearheaded the development of competitive telecom and colocation services on the West Coast as a VP of the Grubb & Ellis Real Estate Company, including assisting Level 3, Focal, ICG and others with some of their first facility locations.


Spencer E. Mullee, Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining DCI in 2003, Spencer had a successful career as a senior manager, real estate developer and company turnaround specialist. Spencer worked on large-scale projects such as entitlement, development and/or construction of the EDS call center in Sacramento, California, the World Headquarters of VPD and a 1,750,000SF campus for The Money Store.

In 1999, Spencer cofounded Telegis Networks, a venture backed web hosting company. While at Telegis, Spencer was responsible for development of the company's data center assets. He entitled, developed, designed and/or constructed over 2,000,000SF of data space in locations around the world. Spencer also led European operations (UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, France and Italy) for procuring property, negotiating contracts and agreements, working with governmental and regulatory agencies and overseeing planning, design and pre-construction activities.

Spencer is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.


Tom Todaro, Managing Partner

Tom's career is a mixture of restructuring and Mergers and Acquisition activities in the Technology space. Before cofounding DCI Technology Holdings, LLC, Tom was a principal of Venture Asset Group. At VAG Tom managed much of the restructuring and asset sales from Exodus (now Cable & Wireless). In addition Tom managed the sale of and reorganization of Exodus's entire private equity portfolio. This included over 17 direct investments in operating companies related to the collocation and hosting businesses. In November of 2002 Tom and his team completed the investment and acquisition of EPIK Communications, Orlando, FL. After the purchase Tom lead the restructuring of EPIK reducing liabilities while increasing sales.

Prior to VAG Tom was SVP of Mergers and Acquisitions at PayPal, Inc, a financial software services company in Mountain View CA. In addition to normal M&A activities Tom helped lead the successful IPO of the company in April 2002 and eventual sale of PayPal to eBay for $1.4 Billion in cash and tradable securities. Prior to PayPal Tom was Chief Operating Officer of Andale, Inc a successful enterprise software company in Mountain View, CA.

Tom holds a Masters in Economics from Stanford University.
